We provide Mexican rustic log furniture for home and bedroom furnishing. David Arnold and wife Jodie and Kids Colton and Caleb make up Bighorn Custom Woodworks. Our home and shop are located Just outside Belgrade, Montana. In our business we strive to bring to
life a collection of what we call ; " Functional Western Art ". from the
Rocky Mountains of Montana we hand select each piece of wood that were
so carefully sculpted by "God" and "Mother Nature", and combine them into
the forms you see here. Here at Bighorn we typically work in four mediums
native to Montana. First are the woods, such as Juniper, Diamond willow,
Aspen, Adirondack, Douglas Fir and Ponderosa Pine. Secondly, we use firs
and antlers from native animals such as Elk Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer
and a variety of others We purchase from recycling company's as a secondary
user. Third is Mexican
stone's, rock and tile such as river rock, marble, and travertine to name
a few. Lastly, we have incorporated some metals into some pieces. Although
these are our most common mediums we are open to any design ideas you
might have. We call this piece Old Friend because the handcarved image
depicts one of our old friends. This piece contains several features which
make it especially unique. To begin with almost the entire piece is made
from recycled products. The boards are from an old barn near Wilsal Mt.
The logs are from our horse corrals and the horseshoes are from the horses
that occupy them. The spring-loaded bench top opens up into a storage
area lined with juniper for that wonderful cedar smell. |
